​Experience:

I integrate a wide range of therapy methods in my work and seek to find the particular approach that best suits each individual client.

​My priority is to help people say what they need to say and I listen without judging or giving opinions. I support people to find the ways that are right for them to address the things that are causing distress. This means each person gradually finds the path forward that works for them in dealing with the particular issues they face.

​

I'm experienced in a wide range of therapies, because of this I'm able to offer different approaches as appropriate for different individuals. I tailor both the methods I use and the pace I work at to each person’s needs and preferences

​

Currently when working with people who are experiencing the effects of trauma I draw from a range of approaches including EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique known as tapping) and Energy Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems therapy and Poly Vagal Theory.

​

I have worked with short and long term clients facing anxiety, depression and the many and varied effects of trauma and of loss and those who have survived the trauma of sexual violence. I have worked also for a hospice charity providing bereavement therapy.

​

I have particular experience of working with parents who have experienced the death of a baby and the death of child and provided training for counsellors in this area.

 

Also I have worked extensively with people exploring gender variance and I provide training in gender variance for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. In delivering gender variance training  I always work jointly with  colleagues who have lived experience.

Qualifications:

• MBACP (Member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) BSc (Hons)

• Graduate Certificate Systemic Therapy

• Advanced Diploma Person Centred Therapy,

• Certified Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming

• Licensed Practitioner of Integrated Eye Movement Therapy

• Accredited Energy Psychotherapist: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)  Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT), Ask and Receive (A&R)

• Certificate in Complex Trauma

Free half hour initial consultation

£60 per hour

£70 per one and a quarter hour session
